QUALITY CONTROL - Eurovo Service

integrated production chain

Eurovo Service egg products are the result of a complete and vertically integrated chain, starting from the production of the feed for our hens, going through the shelling and pasteurisation plants, up to packaging and transportation throughout Italy, in our own vehicles.

Feed production

Our animal feed mills produce balanced, optimised feeds according to the different ages of our hens. All production phases are controlled by our laboratories, starting from the raw materials that arrive to our plants: wheat, soy, sorghum and sunflower seeds are stored in dedicated silos and are then ground. They are later mixed and integrated with minerals and vitamins. The feed is taken to the farms on the Group's vehicles, to ensure maximum control of the hygienic conditions of the product.

Farming

We are directly responsible for the chicks and their growth, since the day they hatch. A team of veterinarians checks the health of the animals every day. We also ensure that their environmental conditions (air, water, humidity) are optimal for the well-being of the hens.

controllo qualita

Production of egg products

The shelled eggs are pasteurised and homogenised to become egg products. Bacterial count is remarkable reduced by pasteurisation, resulting in a safe product, suitable for all artisan preparations. The balanced formulation of all our products, in this phase, results in egg products specific for artisans' different needs.

Our Certifications

iso 9001

The entire Eurovo production and processing cycle is certified ISO 9001. This certification attests to "the company's ability to organise itself and to manage its own resources and production processes in such a manner as to acknowledge and satisfy the needs of its clients, and to the company's commitment to continuously improving this ability".

haccp

The HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is a hygiene self-control method intended to protect consumers' health. The method starts with the study of all the hazards that may compromise the quality of the food product, during production and through all the next phases, such as storage, transportation, conservation, until sales to final consumers.

brc

The BRC standard is an inspection model adopted to evaluate and control the suppliers of food products. It was developed in England in 1998 thanks to the British Retail Consortium, with the purpose of guaranteeing the safety of agricultural products. Thanks to its efficacy and thorough requisites, it has been used as reference by European organised distribution with a wider field of application, not limited to suppliers of branded products. Eurovo has obtained the highest level of BRC certification.

kosher

Kosher certification attests that a food product can be consumed by Jewish communities, as it is produced in accordance with the food rules established by the Torah.

ifs food

The IFS Food standard certifies that the company has adopted the purposes of fully complying with legislative duties and protecting the consumer by offering "safe products, in conformity with contractual specifications and the requirements of the law". Eurovo has obtained the "Higher" level of certification, which "represents the best practice in the food industry".

kat

KAT ("Verein für Kontrollierte Alternative Tierhaltungsformen", i.e. an association for controlled forms of alternative farms) has created a strict control system for the safety and traceability of eggs in alternative poultry farms (free-range, outdoors, organic). This certification attests to the respect for strict rules for animal farming and hygiene.

bio

Eurovo is certified by the Consortium for the Control of Organic Products (CCPB in Italy), which directly inspects farms and transformation plants. The certification attests to the company's compliance with regulation EC 834/2007 regarding organic production.

smeta

SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is not a conduct code, a methodology or a certification process. It certifies that the company is concerned with the health of its own employees, with the environment in which the plant is located, with the safety of the plants and their employees.

agrovet

This certification regards the products, processes and quality guarantee systems from producer to consumer. The institution ascertains that the obligatory qualitative criteria of products and processes are respected in such a manner that the safety requested for all production phases is guaranteed.
